ATM Warning

Bank ATM's Converted to Steal IDs of Bank Customers

A team of organized criminals are installing equipment on legitimate bank ATM's in at least 2 regions to steal both the ATM card number and the PIN. The team sits nearby in a car receiving the information transmitted wirelessly over weekends and evenings from equipment they install on the front of the ATM (see photos). If you see an attachment like this, do not use the ATM and report it immediately to the bank using the phone on the front of the ATM.

The equipment used to capture your ATM card number and PIN are cleverly disguised to look like normal ATM equipment. A "skimmer" is mounted to the front of the normal ATM card slot that reads the ATM card number and transm its it to the criminals sitting in a nearby car.

At the same time, a wireless camera is disguised to look like a leaflet holder and is mounted in a position to view ATM PIN entries.

The thieves copy the cards and use the PIN numbers to withdraw thousands from many accounts in a very short time directly from the bank ATM.

The equipment as it appears installed over the normal ATM bank slot.

The PIN reading camera being installed on the ATM is housed in an innocent looking leaflet enclosure.

KL Half day tour

Today I have to fetch my grandma at Pudu Raya at 3.30 pm, so I went out to Petaling Street in the morning. I want to walk around there. After finish walking around in Petaling Street, I found that the time is still early, so I walk to Central Market. Central Market is a well known Malaysia Tourist Spot. This is the first time there. The place is so empty and I saw least then 10 tourists only. What kind of visit Malaysia year.

After that, the time still early and I do not know where to go. Walk and walk then suddenly I feel like I want to Chow Kit. So I walk to Stadium Merdeka where I took the monorail at the Maharajalela station just right beside the Stadium Merdeka. This is my first time to Chow Kit. I heard that Chow Kit is a horrible place full will Malays and Chicken. Before Chow Kit, I stop by at the Titiwangsa Station. I hope that I can see the eye on Malaysia. But the result is the eye on Malaysia is so far and I cannot even see it clearly. If I am a tourist I really do not know how to go there and I really do not know how to go there. I thought that it is near to the Titiwangsa station. I am so disappointed. So I continue my journey to Chow Kit. When I reach Chow Kit, I can see many old shops and the place like 80’s. I first saw Jalan Tunku Rahman where a Chicken was sitting there waiting. I saw many Malays guys finding business. Then I walk around and I do not know where am I. I was finding a plaza where I want to get some stuff there. I simply walk and I did not see any plaza. Then I walk into 7-eleven and bought a bottle of mineral water. I ask the cashier where the plaza is situated. Thanks to the cashier, she told me the plaza is just behind the 7-eleven where the road is called Jalan Haji Taib. I was amaze where the whole plaza got what I want to find. After finish up my business then I walk back to the Monorail station. While I was walking to the monorail, I saw many chickens around the shop lots and I saw some Malays selling the ubat-ubat ajaib like what I saw from the TV.

I then take the monorail to Hang Tuah Station and took the LRT to Pudu Raya. The time is still early and I walk to 7-eleven and ate chicken balls. The time still early and I feel hungry so I need to wait my grandma there, then I go to the mamak stall and ordered a capati and teh ais. When my grandma arrive we went to Petaling Street to settle our stuff then we went back home. At night my grandma, father, mother and I went to SJMC to visit my auntie. After that, we had our supper at Taipan.

What a tiring day. Really hope that i got a SLR camera so that i can take more nice photo. WAHAHAHA
